Waterboyz Surf Update for Sunday March 6th. Front has moved through and temps have dropped cloudy through the am hours today with temps reaching 60 degrees. Winds are out of the north at 10-20 providing offshore conditions and quickly knocking down the swell. It’s great now, so go early. Waves are clean and glassy at chest high. Seas are 3-5 this morning and will drop to 2-3 later. Current buoy reading this morning is 3 feet at 7 seconds. Water temp is 63 degrees. We have neap tides today. Go while it’s good! Waterboyz Surf Update for Saturday March 5th. Blown our and victory at sea today with some big overhead drops to be taken, but not much form. Have gotten reports back that the inside of Alabama point is smaller , but cleaner. So…check the passes and jetties for protected breaks. The buoy is reading 7 foot at 8 seconds. Seas are 6-8 feet. Tides are 1-2 feet above normal. Low tide at 7:06am, High at 10:17am, and another low at 5:16pm. Sun sets at 5:50pm. Water temp is 64 degrees. High today will reach 72 degrees, and we have a front moving through the area today. Rain at 100% this afternoon. Bayview Park Longboard Skateboard Event Rescheduled
Due to the front moving through with passing showers this morning and 100% chance of rain this afternoon, The Bayview Longboard Skateboard Event has been cancelled and rescheduled for March 19th. Surf is knee high with larger sets, but should build into the afternoon to possibly waist high. Low tide is 7:22am and high tide is 8:44pm. Sun sets at 5:48pm. Waterboyz Surf Update for Monday Feb 28th. A foggy one this morning; less than 1/2 mile visibility on the coast. Good day to pick up some rubber on sale at 20-30% off and head out for a surf. Waves today are in the waist to chest high range and will continue to build today. Winds are S 15 - 20mph with gust to 30 later as the front moves in. Seas are 4-6 feet and waves are choppy. Low tide is at 6:01am and high tide is at 6:53pm. Sun sets today at 5:47pm. Waves at the buoy are currently (7am) 5 feet at 5 second intervals). Water temp is 63 degrees so do come by and take advantage of our deals on wetsuits. High today will reach 75 degrees. It will be mostly cloudy with thunderstorms in the afternoon.
